Autumn Eyes | Pumpkin Spice (ft MAC Woodwinked & Dior Eyegloss)

Hello! It's September, which in my book means it is officially Autumn. Hoorah! Since I've decided to dip my toe in the world of eyeshadow recently, I thought it was for the best to equip myself with all the neccessary tools. Basically I've decided to build a MAC palette. I thought that Autumn seemed like a perfect time to start experimenting with colour, as the rest of my wardrobe tends to get darker and darker as we delve into the cooler months, and so I've purchased myself a few MAC shadows to get started. Long story short, I've decided to start a new series right here on my little blog called 'Autumn Eyes', where I'm going to experiment with different make up looks (god help us all) and give them fun little corresponding names such as 'Pumpkin Spice', do you see what I'm doing here?

I have no idea how this is going to pan out but basically over the next few months every now and again I'll do a 'face of the day' type of post. Once I've finished my palette I might even devote a post to it showing you guys all the different colours I settled on. Does this sound interesting? I hope so.

So today's Autumn Eyes were created using my lovely Dior Eye Gloss* in shade 740 'Zenith' which is basically a shimmery eyeshadow base in a beautiful coppery colour. In the outer corners and under the eyes I've used MAC's Woodwinked which I'm sure you all know by now is also a beautiful gold-toned shimmery shadow. I'm all about the shimmer today. Because the eyes are doing the talking (obviously, it's an Autumn Eyes series), I've kept my face pretty simple with just a teensy bit of contouring on my cheeks using Sleek's contour palette. And I've popped a slick of MAC See Sheer on my lips to set off the whole copper vibe I've got going on. I think this is a really perfect Autumn look as the colours are very Autumnal and really get me in the mood for a Pumpkin Spice Latte!

Let me know if you like the idea of this series...
AND let me know which other MAC eye shadows I need in my life!
Thanks for reading,

  9. You have such amazing hair! Woodwinked looks amazing on you. I would definitely recommend 'Concrete' as a fail safe dark matte brown, and 'Retrospeck' or 'Satin Taupe' for something shimmery and 'Shroom' is a lovely light colour.

Enjoy the world of MAC, it's addictive!!
